Coffin Draped in Indonesia's Red and White Flag Transported from RSPAD to Funeral Home

JAKARTA - Ryamizard Ryacudu’s coffin, draped in Indonesia’s red and white national flag, was transported from Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) to the funeral home on Sunday, 31 May 2026. An emotional atmosphere filled the hospital grounds during the departure process. The coffin was moved using an RSPAD hearse and escorted by several officers. Family members accompanied the coffin to the funeral home in the Cikeas area of Bogor Regency. Numerous relatives, colleagues, and mourners were present at the site to pay their final respects. Floral tributes surrounded the RSPAD area, adding to the sombre mood following the death of the former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD). Brigadier General Rico Sirait, Head of the Defence Ministry’s Public Relations Bureau, stated that the ministry received information Ryamizard passed away at RSPAD Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.
