COCO Considers Acquisition to Expand Business into Non-Chocolate and FMCG Sectors
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Wahana Interfood Nusantara Tbk (COCO) or Win&Co Group is preparing a business expansion. The company is examining both organic and inorganic steps.
The expansion is directed towards the Food and Ingredients sector as well as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). The company is targeting the non-chocolate category. Products included are biscuits, wafers, snacks, and confectionery with high growth potential.
This step aims to broaden the scale of the business. The company also wants to strengthen operational capabilities to support long-term growth.
CEO of Win&Co Group, Sugianto Soenario, stated that the company is also exploring non-cocoa raw materials. The focus is directed towards coffee, nuts, powdered milk, as well as other food ingredients.
“This initiative is aimed at expanding the company’s role in the food industry value chain, not only as a producer of finished products, but also as a provider of raw materials and integrated solutions for industry players,” he said in an official statement on Thursday (19/3/2026).
Sugianto assessed that this step opens new opportunities. The company wants to develop raw material processing capabilities. Product formulation is also intended to be strengthened. Innovation collaboration with business partners is being encouraged.
This approach is intended to open new sources of growth. The company’s position in the food and beverage industry ecosystem is also intended to be strengthened.
“As a continuously developing company, we see the importance of strengthening business capabilities through strategic partnerships or potential acquisitions. This step is part of our efforts to expand the reach of the business and strengthen the company’s position in the regional and global markets,” he added.
