Coca-Cola, Taman Ria Senayan tie up

JAKARTA (JP): Beverages company PT Coca-Cola Indonesia signed an agreement with the management of Taman Ria Senayan amusement park on Friday to promote both Coca Cola products and the park.

The general manager of Coca-Cola Amatil Jakarta, Joe Haydon, said the agreement was aimed at giving park visitors better service and enhancing the atmosphere.

"We have identified a business opportunity by cooperating with Taman Ria Senayan to deliver an unforgettable fun experience," Haydon said in a statement.

He said that under the agreement all the company's products, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Braq's and Hi-C, would be available at the amusement park.

The park's technical advisor, Prasoon Mukherjee, said the agreement should attract more young visitors to the 11-hectare amusement park.

Visitors who buy day ticket for Rp 8,000 on Mondays through Fridays or Rp 14,000 on the weekends will get a free Fanta drink, Mukherjee said.

There are 22 outlets ready to serve visitors, of which there are 10,000 on each weekend day, he said.

Located less than half a kilometer from the House of Representatives Complex, Taman Ria Senayan has experienced a massive drop-off in visitor numbers since student demonstrations began in the area in early November. (jun)
