Coal and CPO Rescue Indonesia's Exports in June 2026
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia’s export value in June 2026 reached US$25.46 billion, an increase of 8.84% compared to exports in June 2025. Non-oil and gas exports in June 2026 reached US$24.39 billion, a rise of 9.46% compared to June 2025.
Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono revealed that oil and gas exports reached US$1.07 billion, a decrease of 3.78%.
“The annual (yoy) increase in exports in June 2026 was primarily driven by non-oil and gas exports, with mineral fuel commodities rising 49.67% in value and volume increasing by 15.34%. Nickel rose 69.30% in value while volume fell 12.14%. Animal and vegetable fats and oils increased 10.45% in value, with volume down 7.09%,” Ateng stated during the BPS release on Monday (3/8/2026).
The development of Indonesia’s non-oil and gas exports in June 2026 saw the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector contribute US$0.49 billion. Meanwhile, the mining sector was recorded at US$3.03 billion and the processing sector at US$20.88 billion.
“The agricultural sector fell 11.36% year-on-year, with a share of 1.21%, mainly due to a decline in the export value of coffee, fruits, medicinal plants, aromatic spices, and cloves,” Ateng said.
Furthermore, BPS reported that Indonesia’s export value for January-June 2026 reached US$140.81 billion, an increase of 4.13% compared to the same period in 2025. In line with total exports, the value of non-oil and gas exports, which reached US$134.58 billion, rose 4.90%.
