Following its successful run last year, CNBC strategic forum will
return to Indonesia on Jan. 24 to discuss the country's economic
and investment policies, as well as action plans.
The one-day event, titled, The New Indonesia 2005: Policy and
Action, organized by CNBC Asia Pacific, is to feature President
Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the Coordinating Minister for the
Economy Aburizal Bakrie among the speakers.
A panel discussion involving the ministers of finance, energy
and mineral resources, transportation, and public works, as well
as the state minister for public enterprises, will address the
most pressing issues related to their individual portfolios. They
will also outline the strategies and concrete steps they plan to
take to improve the business climate and investor confidence.
Also, there will be sessions to discuss the perspective of
international institutions with a speaker from the World Bank,
and the perspective of the business community featuring top CEOs
from top local and global companies.
As a provider of information services of NBC Universal and Dow
Jones, CNBC promises to make sure that both the audience and
media can participate actively in the question and answer
sessions moderated by its anchors.
CNBC is providing some 150 free seats for the event, to be
held at the Dharmawangsa Hotel in South Jakarta, for top
executives.
