CMES Indonesia 2026: First Global Machine Tool Exhibition in Jakarta
Following the major success of its debut in Vietnam in 2025, CMES is officially expanding to the Indonesian market. The largest private exhibition organiser in China will hold the inaugural edition of the CMES Indonesia International Machine Tool Exhibition on 2–4 July 2026. Held at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), Jakarta (Hall 5 & 6), the exhibition arrives amid the momentum of national industrial transformation through the “Making Indonesia 4.0” programme. The main focus of the exhibition is to support the transition of the metal processing industry from conventional casting techniques to high-precision component manufacturing. A representative of the CMES Indonesia organiser, Sun Xiao Li, revealed that demand for precision machines in Indonesia continues to surge, particularly from the automotive, electronics, infrastructure, and new energy sectors. However, the domestic machine tool production capacity remains limited. “Around 75% of premium equipment in Indonesia still comes from imports. This opens up strategic opportunities for international suppliers to enter and support the rapidly developing needs of the local industry,” said Sun Xiao Li. This optimism is supported by solid economic growth data in the industrial sector. The exhibition will occupy an area of more than 15,000 square metres, featuring various leading global brands. The products on display will include metal cutting and forming machines, machine accessories, grinding tools, as well as cutting-edge solutions in industrial automation and robotics. The main target of the exhibition is downstream industries that require smart manufacturing solutions, such as automotive parts manufacturers, 3C electronics, household appliances, and general machinery. CMES brings over 24 years of experience in managing large-scale exhibitions. With an annual marketing investment of US$7 million, CMES Indonesia implements a comprehensive Online-to-Offline (O2O) strategy to ensure maximum visibility for participants. In addition to the product exhibition, CMES Indonesia is partnering with the government and industry associations to organise high-level forums and an International Buyer Matchmaking Meeting. This agenda is expected to serve as a bridge for business players to expand networks and accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing technology in the country.
