Closing 30 August 2026, This Civil Service Academy Still Has Few Applicants
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The registration period for civil service academies will close on 30 August 2026, having opened on 18 August 2026.
Citing the 2026 Civil Service Academy Registration Statistics published by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) on 21 August 2026 at 14.09 WIB, the number of applicants has far exceeded the available places.
After four days of registration, the total number of civil service academy applicants stood at 22,728, with 7,061 having submitted documents. The number of places available this year is 4,770, an increase from the 3,257 places offered in 2025.
“Check again before submitting because registration cannot be repeated,” BKN stated on its X account @BKNgoid on Monday (24/8/2026).
Although the number of applicants has surged beyond the available places, several civil service academies have yet to receive any applicants.
Referring to the applicant statistics published by BKN last weekend, the following institutions remain undersubscribed:

The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) has also set the schedule for the 2026 civil service academy admissions.
Based on BKN Head Letter Number 5249/B-KS.04.01/SD/K/2026 dated 12 August 2026, the selection process begins with the selection announcement on 15 August 2026 and registration opening on 18 August 2026.
This schedule serves as a guideline for the nine ministries/agencies organising civil service academies in carrying out all stages of the 2026 admissions process.
According to the established schedule, the selection announcement takes place on 15-24 August 2026. Registration is open from 18-30 August 2026, alongside administrative selection from 18 August-1 September 2026. Administrative selection results will be announced on 2-3 September 2026.
Participants who object to the selection results are given the opportunity to file an appeal on 4-5 September 2026, which will be answered on 4-6 September 2026. Post-appeal results are scheduled to be announced on 7-8 September 2026.
After the administrative stage, the selection process continues with the issuance of billing codes and PNBP payment for the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) using the BKN Computer Assisted Test (CAT).
This process takes place in September 2026, before participants take the SKD CAT BKN scheduled for 22 September-7 October 2026. After the SKD, score processing is scheduled for 27 September-10 October 2026. Meanwhile, SKD results will be announced in stages on 1-13 October 2026.
Participants who pass the SKD then take the non-CAT BKN advanced selection on 11-28 October 2026. For agencies proposing advanced selection using the CAT BKN method, the stages of PNBP payment, data validation, scheduling, and implementation of advanced selection have also been set in the admissions schedule.
Final graduation announcements by ministries/agencies are scheduled for 21 October-1 November 2026.
