A shift in urban society’s preferences, which now prioritise a healthy quality of life and closeness to nature, is encouraging property developers to strengthen their expansion in suburban areas. Responding to this trend, Vasanta Group has officially launched Southbank, the newest cluster within the integrated residential area of Shila at Sawangan. Southbank is designed as a landed housing development that integrates modern functions with a lush environment. Strategically located near a natural lake, this cluster offers lifestyle-supporting facilities such as a jogging track, green open spaces, and sports areas for its residents. President Director of Shila at Sawangan, Mario Susanto, explained that the launch of Southbank is a strategic step by the company to respond to market needs for life balance. ‘We see a shift in people’s preferences increasingly moving towards a healthier and more balanced quality of life. We present Southbank to integrate function, nature, and comfort in one area,’ said Mario in an official statement. Architecturally, Southbank adopts a modern contemporary concept with functional spatial planning. The building design maximises openings for natural lighting and optimal air circulation. The area’s aesthetics are also enhanced by a landscape of tabebuya trees, which become the visual hallmark of the cluster. Southbank offers two main housing types: the Reia type, a dwelling with a width of 7 metres, and the Neira type, a dwelling with a width of 8 metres. Both types are equipped with configurations of three to four bedrooms, specifically designed to meet the needs of growing urban families. Shila at Sawangan itself stands on 130 hectares of land, of which approximately 55% is dedicated as green open space. The area is surrounded by a 26-hectare natural lake with a backdrop view of Mount Salak. Prior to Southbank, Vasanta Group had successfully developed several projects in the area, including Lake Series, Eco Town, and The Peninsula. Beyond its natural advantages, the area is integrated with various commercial zones such as Peninsula District, Sinsa District, Marche, The Shoppes, and Senopati Boulevard. In terms of accessibility, residents are supported by connectivity to the Pamulang and Desari toll roads, as well as main access via Jalan Bojongsari and Jalan Muchtar. The presence of Southbank further strengthens Vasanta Group’s position in providing suburban housing that not only functions as a place to live but also as an environment that supports long-term quality of life for the Greater Jakarta community.
