Closed Case File Handover: Four TNI Soldiers Who Threw Acid on Andrie Yunus to Face Trial Soon
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian National Armed Forces’ Military Police Centre (Puspom TNI) has handed over the case files for the acid attack on Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), to the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 in Jakarta.
The handover process was conducted in a closed manner, away from journalists who had been waiting at the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 in Jakarta since Tuesday afternoon (7/4/2026).
Previously, on Monday (6/4/2026), several journalists received information from the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 that the case file handover would take place on Tuesday (7/4/2026) at 4:00 PM WIB.
Additionally, two automatic motorcycles were seen parked near the press conference room, believed to be evidence in the case.
The vehicles bore evidence labels indicating the assault case against Andrie Yunus, allegedly committed by Captain Marinir Nandala Dwi Prasetya and three others.
When journalists attempted to take photos, officers asked them to wait and not to photograph immediately.
However, until 7:00 PM WIB, journalists had not received confirmation regarding the press conference.
The TNI Information Centre (Puspen TNI) stated that it would issue an official statement regarding the acid attack case file handover.
Meanwhile, the Head of the TNI Legal Information Centre, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, confirmed the handover of the case files.
The four suspects handed over to the Military Prosecutor’s Office are Captain NDB, Lieutenant SL, Lieutenant BHW, and Sergeant ES.
Nevertheless, Puspen TNI did not detail the evidence submitted in the acid attack case.
“If the files are declared complete, they will be forwarded to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta. This handover is part of the TNI’s commitment to professional, transparent, and accountable law enforcement, as well as a demonstration of firmness in addressing every criminal act,” Aulia stated.
