Clinic opens for business
JAKARTA (JP): The London Institute of Communications Jakarta in cooperation with the Pasundan University of Bandung will soon open a "business clinic" that will provide consultancy services to people intending to enter into food and food processing businesses using local materials.
The institute said an agreement for the establishment of the clinic was signed on Wednesday by the institute's director Prita Kemal Gani and Adang Kadarusman, dean of Pasundan's School of Industrial Technology.
Besides providing consultancy and information services, the clinic will eventually provide assistance in marketing, capitalization and other aspects of particular value for small entrepreneurs, it said.
The institute and the university will also jointly organize a one-day exhibition and demonstration on food and food processing technology at Dewan Pers building in Jakarta on Nov. 30.
Among the clinic's first "patients" will be relatives and widows of journalists as well as retired journalists to help them cope with the current economic crisis, it said. (emb)
