Cleanse the bureaucracy

Cleanse the bureaucracy

From Warta Kota

Those of us living in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabotabek) are not only good tax payers but have also rendered some of our human rights to the state.

We have long since lost our domestic security, the establishment of which is the responsibility of the state and the security forces. Moreover, we have encountered difficulties because of the worsening economy triggered by the lengthy multidimensional crisis.

Now, our hope for any improvement has evaporated due to the hypocrisy of the political elite, especially those who are thirsty for power. At present our condition is the worst among Southeast Asian countries.

Therefore I appeal to the hypocritical elite to stop their conduct, which is not only shameful but has also caused bankruptcy in the state.

Attention to power holders! The people do not want to be offered lofty ideas such as free resident identity cards, free high school graduate examinations and other free nonsense, because, in fact, they can't be realized.

There is always a trick used by those civil servants which allows corruption, collusion and manipulation.

We are all aware that the bureaucracy's mentality is still stained by the impact of "brainwashing" developed by the New Order. The people's wish is only one: Cleanse the bureaucracy from any corrupt ideas before the people get angry.
