Cleanliness at Senayan Plaza

Cleanliness at Senayan Plaza

From Kompas

Senayan Plaza is one of the most magnificent shopping centers in the capital and opened one and a half years ago. We often shop there because of its strategic location.

But Senayan's public facilities such as the toilets lack cleanliness and look disgusting, and toilet paper is often not available. The litter bins are also often filled to the rim and overflowing with rubbish. No doubt, flies like to feast on the old, odorous rubbish.

One shop owner told me shop tenants have complained about the condition on many occasions, but their complaints fell on deaf ears. In fact, the shop keepers pay high fees for keeping the center clean. But the center's management argues that cleanliness is the responsibility of another company.

But doesn't Senayan Plaza's management have any sense of responsibility for the cleanliness of the establishment? It is not very convenient to shop at Senayan Plaza in such a condition, especially if shoppers take their children.

Cleanliness in every establishment depends largely on the attitude of the sanitation team as well as the commitment of the management concerned.

I hope those responsible will ensure such facilities maintain cleanliness in the future.
