Clean Water and EQUIP STM Programmes Receive Sustainable Village Awards
PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM) has successfully secured two awards at the 2026 Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Village Development (CSR & PDB) Awards. The achievements include a Silver award for its clean water programme and a Bronze award for the Education Quality Improvement Programme (EQUIP).
Both programmes are implemented around the operational area of the Hu’u Project, which is STM’s copper exploration project located in the Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The CSR & PDB Awards serve as recognition for companies or organisations that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This annual awards ceremony is organised by the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regional Development.
The General Chairman of ISSF, Dr Sudarmanto, AAK., stated that the 2026 CSR & PDB Awards marks the fifth edition of the programme. The event featured 61 participants presenting a total of 74 programmes from various regions across Indonesia.
“These programmes align with the sixth ‘Asta Cita’ objective, which is to build from the village and from the bottom to ensure economic equality and the eradication of poverty,” he said.
Sudarmanto also expressed his appreciation to all parties participating in this year’s CSR & PDB Awards and acknowledged their contributions to social development through their respective programmes. “Congratulations to the award winners; may this recognition serve as a catalyst to continue creating, innovating, and providing the widest possible benefits for Indonesia,” he added.
STM Senior Community Relations Analyst, Vovia Witni, noted that this year’s awards add to the company’s positive track record in the CSR & PDB Awards. “Last year, we won a Silver award for the Village Participation Programme (PPD). We are grateful that STM’s accolades have increased this year through the clean water and EQUIP programmes,” she said following the ceremony at the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regional Development main building.
