Classroom Shortage: SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus Receives Construction Support
More than 200 students at SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, are expected to soon benefit from additional learning spaces through the development of educational infrastructure. This construction support was handed over by Bank Aladin Syariah on 3 September 2026 to SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus, which operates under the Muhammadiyah Branch Leadership (PCM) Duren Sawit II. The assistance was presented directly by the Head of Corporate Secretary of Bank Aladin Syariah, Ratna Wahyuni, to the Chairman of PCM Duren Sawit II Jakarta Timur, Ir. Agoes Subeno, M.S.
To date, the limited number of classrooms has been a significant obstacle for SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus in accommodating the high level of public interest in enrolling children at the school. With the construction of new buildings, the school’s capacity is expected to increase, specifically to meet the educational needs of the community in the Duren Sawit region and its surroundings.
SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus Duren Sawit II is expected to develop as one of the Muhammadiyah educational centres capable of addressing the urban community’s need for access to quality education. The presence of more representative educational facilities is also expected to strengthen Muhammadiyah’s contribution to supporting efforts to educate the nation.
The Chairman of PCM Duren Sawit II Jakarta Timur, Ir. Agoes Subeno, M.S., expressed his appreciation for the support provided to assist in completing the educational facility construction. He noted that the assistance is vital for PCM Duren Sawit II in continuing the school’s development to provide better educational services to the community.
“This assistance is truly significant for us. The CSR funds from Bank Aladin will be utilised optimally to support the completion process of the SD Muhammadiyah 09 Plus Duren Sawit II construction,” said Agoes.
The Head of Corporate Secretary of Bank Aladin Syariah, Ratna Wahyuni, stated that supporting the construction of educational facilities is part of an effort to bring tangible benefits to society. She noted that education plays a crucial role in preparing future generations.
