Clash of Legends Jakarta 2026: Patrick Kluivert to Return to Indonesia
Two former coaches of the Indonesian national team, Patrick Kluivert and Luis Milla, are confirmed to return to Indonesia. They will participate in the ‘El Clasico’ event titled ‘Clash of Legends Jakarta 2026’, which will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on 18 April. This was revealed by the President Director of MPRO International, Gustiantira Alandy, during a meeting with KG Media Group at the Kompas Tower in Jakarta, on Thursday (26/2/2026). Gustiantira stated that Kluivert and Milla are two of the eight top legends who will participate in ‘Clash of Legends Jakarta 2026’. The other six players are Carles Puyol, Ricardo Quaresma, and Rivaldo from the Barcelona side. Gustiantira added that there will be more than 60 people from both teams present in Indonesia. “Regarding the coaches, I don’t have the latest data yet because the data is updated daily as they are on tour, so we will receive the latest information about their condition after the tour,” said Gustiantira. Furthermore, Gustiantira revealed some of the activities that the Madrid and Barca legends will undertake during their stay in Jakarta. In addition to the match, they will also hold coaching clinics and are planning a city tour. “In the next few days, we will announce it. There will be several activities that may involve fans or the Provincial Government.” “We are grateful that the Governor (Pramono Anung) is very supportive of us. So, there are several activities that we will do together with the Jakarta Provincial Government,” he explained. Regarding ticket sales, Gustiantira said he is not worried even though only about 50% of the target of 60,000 spectators at the SUGBK have been sold, with only two months left. The most important thing is that the Organising Committee has prepared all the details regarding the match so that this event runs smoothly. “Our preparations can be said to be around 70% complete. Soon we will announce the line-up, both from the top players and the players from both teams,” said Gustiantira. “After that, we will start arranging their arrival. The most important thing is that the venue is ready,” he said. KOMPAS.com is committed to providing clear, trustworthy, and balanced facts.
