Face Covered by T-shirt

The body was discovered by hotel staff on Friday, 29 May, at around 1pm WIB. The discovery was then reported to police. ‘Officers then inspected the crime scene and identified the victim,’ he added.
Suspect Arrested
Police confirmed the suspect has been arrested. However, the suspect’s identity has not been disclosed. ‘The murder incident is confirmed, and the suspect has been detained by the Subdit Jatanras of Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya,’ said Chief Commissioner Budi Hermanto when contacted by detikcom on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Budi Hermanto did not provide details regarding the suspect’s identity or the murder timeline. He stated the suspect is currently undergoing intensive questioning at Polda Metro Jaya headquarters. ‘The suspect is currently under questioning,’ he added.

Joko added that the victim was a hotel guest. She was found deceased when hotel staff attempted to confirm room payment by knocking on the door. ‘Hotel staff attempted to confirm payment by knocking on the room door but received no response, so they used a master key to open it and discovered the incident,’ he explained. Police then conducted a crime scene investigation and identified the body. The victim’s remains were subsequently taken to Polri Hospital Kramat Jati in East Jakarta for autopsy.
