Clarification from BGN: MBG Kitchens to Receive Rp500 Million for 12 Days
Jakarta — The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has clarified information regarding budget distribution under the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) to MBG kitchens or Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). Khairul Hidayati, Head of the Legal and Public Relations Bureau of BGN, released updated and accurate data to the public.
Previous circulating information contained errors regarding the fund allocation period, necessitating clarification to ensure the public received accurate information. The fund allocation, previously referred to on a daily basis, has been verified internally and is correctly approximately Rp500 million every 12 days per SPPG.
“In the interest of transparency and accuracy of public information, we clarify that each SPPG receives an allocation of approximately Rp500 million per 12 days,” stated Hidayati in a written statement on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
The fund distribution mechanism remains direct to SPPG without going through regional governments, ensuring that BGN funds serve as drivers of equitable local economic growth and support equitable programme benefits distribution across all regions.
This circulation of funds also provides market certainty for local products used in MBG, yielding positive impacts on the production sector, including improvements in the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP), which currently averages 125, providing room for investment and family welfare.
BGN emphasised that this clarification aims to maintain data accuracy and transparency of public information.
“We remain committed to consistently providing accurate and accountable information to the community,” concluded Hidayati.
