Claims Ratio Hits 108%, BPJS Kesehatan Intensifies Preventive Efforts
The Social Security Administering Body for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) is intensifying promotive and preventive actions to suppress benefit payments for catastrophic, chronic, or critical illnesses, which last year pushed the claims ratio to 108.27 per cent. All primary healthcare facilities (FKTP) have been placed on alert to conduct therapy monitoring, particularly for hypertension and diabetes examinations, under the chronic disease management programme (Prolanis), with a target visit or ‘contact rate’ of 150 per 1,000 national health insurance (JKN) participants.
