CKGSB Alumni Form Association to Support Indonesia's Economy
Jakarta - Alumni of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in Indonesia have affirmed their commitment to contribute to the national economy through the formation of the CKGSB Indonesia Alumni Association on Tuesday, 26 May. CKGSB Alumni Association Chair Cheng Chenfeng stated there are over 100 CKGSB alumni active in Indonesia. He said these alumni are involved in Chinese companies expanding into Indonesia and establishing startups locally. ‘With investment and technology transfer as key pillars, we are committed not only to fostering local industry development but also creating new job opportunities and enhancing the quality and efficiency of economic growth,’ Cheng said. He added that establishing the alumni association is a crucial step to unite the strength of CKGSB graduates in Indonesia. Cheng noted over 25,000 CKGSB entrepreneur alumni have significant potential to support Indonesia’s market development. He also highlighted that many CKGSB alumni hold strategic positions in investment decision-making across various companies. Therefore, the alumni association is expected to strengthen industrial coordination and collaboration in Indonesia. Cheng believes the association will serve as a platform to strengthen connections and collaboration among alumni to support Indonesia’s economic development. Meanwhile, national entrepreneur and CKGSB alumnus Haris Chandra said CKGSB has produced numerous leaders of major Chinese companies. According to Haris, this alumni network is a vital asset for driving investment and economic growth in Indonesia. ‘The association provides a platform to showcase Indonesia’s strengths, opening eyes to investment opportunities here,’ Haris said. Similarly, CKGSB alumnus Qu Tian hopes members will bring benefits to Indonesian society. He said contributions can be made by providing quality services and products at affordable prices. ‘Our association is highly active across various sectors. We came to Indonesia to help develop its economy and are very enthusiastic about this,’ Qu Tian said.
