CJIBF 2026 generates Rp19.6 trillion in investment plans
The Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2026, organised by Bank Indonesia’s Central Java representative office together with the Central Java Provincial Government, has generated investment plans worth Rp19.6 trillion.
Head of Bank Indonesia’s Central Java Representative Office M. Noor Nugroho said in Jakarta on Thursday that the investment plan value was obtained from one-on-one meetings (O3M) attended by 38 business actors.
He made the statement during the CJIBF 2026 event in Jakarta, which carried the theme “Accelerating Investment Growth in Central Java through Sustainable Development and Regional Competitiveness”.
He explained that the O3M sessions also involved project owners, regional governments and industrial estate managers, taking place across 60 sessions and producing 37 Letters of Intent (LoI).
This achievement follows the results of the CJIBF held in May 2026, which recorded 82 O3M sessions with the participation of 24 business actors and produced 40 LoIs or expressions of investment interest, with a total planned value of approximately Rp16.91 trillion.
In the O3M sessions, various parties were brought together directly with prospective investors to explore project feasibility, cooperation schemes, financing needs and investment follow-up plans.
The August 2026 CJIBF also featured 26 clean and clear investment projects, including four winning projects from the 2026 Investment Challenge (IC).
The project sectors on offer varied, including renewable energy, waste management, manufacturing, agriculture and food downstreaming, logistics, health, tourism, and industrial estate development.
CJIBF 2026 is an annual investment promotion forum within the framework of the Central Java Economic, Trade, Investment and Tourism Corridor (Keris Jateng).
Keris Jateng serves as a coordination forum between the Central Java Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia to integrate regional resources and advantages, and to strengthen services and promotion.
It also aims to make investment policy more professional and proactive in enhancing global competitiveness and achieving sustainable economic growth.
Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi said that fiscal and geopolitical pressures have not dampened Central Java’s efforts to develop its investment potential.
“Why is Central Java carrying out this activity today? Amid the fiscal and geopolitical pressures mentioned earlier, this has not discouraged Central Java, which is an investment powerhouse,” he said.
He added that the Central Java Provincial Government has not stopped promoting the investment potential that exists across all regencies and cities.
“We cannot deny that each region has different potential. It is impossible to equate East Java, West Java or Jakarta. Likewise, our regencies and cities each have different potential,” he said.
However, he said Central Java offers advantages in investment, namely guaranteed legal certainty, public trust in the government, competitive labour wages, ample available land, and simplified licensing.
“Therefore, in Central Java Province, I as Governor of Central Java, and all regencies and cities, guarantee that investment in Central Java must be able to grow and develop,” he said.
