Civil Society Coalition Tours Attack Site in Solidarity Action for Andrie Yunus
Observation by detikcom on Sunday (12/4/2026) showed that the action began in front of YLBHI in Menteng, Central Jakarta, then proceeded to a petrol station in the Cikini area. The action continued towards Taman Diponegoro and ended in Jalan Talang, the location where Andrie was doused with acid. Some action participants carried posters with messages ranging from calls to form a joint fact-finding team (TGPF) to demands for a thorough investigation of the acid attack case on Andrie Yunus. “Try the perpetrators in a general court,” read one of the posters carried. At the acid attack site, there were several murals and posters in support of Andrie. Action participants were also seen distributing flowers and tying pink ribbons at the location where Andrie was attacked. The action concluded with a collective prayer. It is known that Andrie Yunus became the victim of an acid attack on Thursday night (12/3). The TNI Provost subsequently arrested four individuals suspected of carrying out the acid attack on Andrie Yunus. The four are known to be members of the TNI Bais Military Police from the Navy (AL) and Air Force (AU) branches. The TNI has completed its investigation into the four TNI soldiers suspected of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus. The four TNI soldiers have been handed over to the Military Prosecutor (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta. “The TNI Provost investigators have completed the entire series of investigation processes in accordance with applicable regulations. Subsequently, on this day, Tuesday, 7 April 2026, the case files, the suspects, and evidence of the criminal act of assaulting Mr AY have been transferred from the TNI Provost investigators to Otmil II-07 Jakarta,” said TNI Chief of Information Major General (Mayjen) TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah in a statement received on Tuesday (7/4). Aulia said the case files of the four suspects will be examined by the Military Prosecutor’s Office. If declared complete, the four suspects will be tried in the Military Court. “Next, the completeness of the formal and material requirements of the files will be examined. If the files are declared complete, they will be transferred to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta,” Aulia stated.
