Civil Service School Registration Opens Until 30 August 2026, Check the Stages
Registration for prospective students of the 2026 Civil Service Schools (Sekolah Kedinasan) opened from 18 to 30 August 2026. Registration can be completed online and centrally through the official BKN website at https://sscasn.bkn.go.id/.
Registration for the civil service school selection pathway for prospective civil servants (CPNS) was opened based on BKN Head Letter Number 5249/B-KS.04.01/SD/K/2026, issued on 12 August 2026.
According to the schedule set out in the letter, the selection process actually began on 15 August with the announcement of the selection. The announcement period runs until 24 August.
Registration for prospective students is open from 18 to 30 August 2026. Administrative screening takes place from 18 August to 1 September 2026. The results of the administrative screening will be announced on 2-3 September 2026.
Participants who object to the results of this first stage are given the opportunity to submit an appeal in September 2026, with responses provided on 4-6 September 2026. The post-appeal results will be announced on 7-8 September 2026.
After the administrative stage, the selection process continues with the issuance of billing codes and payment of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) for the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) using the BKN Computer Assisted Test (CAT).
The PNBP payment can be made in September 2026, before participants take the SKD CAT BKN, which is scheduled for 22 September to 7 October 2026.
Following the SKD, score processing is scheduled for 27 September to 10 October 2026. The announcement of SKD results will be carried out in stages from 1 to 13 October 2026. Participants who pass the SKD stage will take part in further non-CAT BKN selection from 11 to 28 October 2026.
The final graduation announcement for prospective civil service school students by the relevant ministries and agencies will take place from 21 October to 1 November 2026.
BKN Head Zudan Arif Fakrulloh explained that the schedule and selection stages serve as a guideline for the nine ministries and agencies organising civil service schools in carrying out all stages of student admission for 2026.
There are nine ministries and agencies organising civil service schools this year: the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Ministry of Law, Statistics Indonesia (BPS), State Intelligence Agency (BIN), National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
“With the establishment of this schedule, prospective participants can prepare themselves while carefully observing each stage and selection requirement set by each ministry/agency organising the 2026 Civil Service Schools,” Zudan said in a written statement on Tuesday (18/8).
The government has opened at least 4,770 places for civil service school students this year. This figure is an increase from the 3,257 places available in 2025.
Registration can only be completed through the BKN’s State Civil Apparatus Candidate Selection System (SSCASN) portal at sscasn.bkn.go.id. Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini said that Indonesian sons and daughters who aspire to enter civil service schools should prepare themselves as well as possible.
“Civil service school selection is not only about the opportunity to become a civil servant, but also about preparing oneself to become a competent, integral, and disciplined individual in service to the community,” Rini said in a written statement on Friday (14/8/2026).
