KAI Commuter recorded 335,268 Commuter Line passengers in the Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabotabek) area today up to 11:00 WIB. The number of departures since morning dropped 27% compared to the Friday before the work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN) was enforced.

“Before the WFH implementation, there were 460,184 people,” said Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, in a written statement on Friday, 10 April 2026.

At Bogor Station, there was a trend of declining passengers up to 11:00 WIB, with 20,431 people recorded, a 26% drop from 27,659 the day before WFH was enforced.

At Bekasi Station, passenger volume was monitored to decrease by 25%, or 18,633 people, compared to 24,835 before WFH. At Sudimara Station, it fell 35%, with a total of 9,382 people, usually 14,390.

At Juanda Station and Gondangdia Station, each dropped by 24%, or 11,834 people, previously 15,621. At Gondangdia, it declined 29%, or 13,827 people, previously 19,504.

Palmerah Station also showed a 29% decline, with a total of 13,060 people, in line with reduced mobility around government institutions. “Sudirman Station and Tanah Abang Station remain busy, but the flow of users during this morning’s rush hour was observed to be smoother and more controlled,” said Karina.

Although the number of passengers has decreased, KAI Commuter continues to operate Commuter Line services normally. 1,065 trips per day are still prepared to serve the public who must still carry out activities outside the home.

“KAI Commuter also continues to monitor user movements in real-time through the operational control centre to ensure that headway (distance between trains) remains maintained according to the set schedule,” Karina added.
