Civil Servants: THR Disbursed Today, Says Purbaya
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government has begun disbursing the Hari Raya Allowance, or THR, to civil servants. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said that, as of Friday (6 March 2026) at 16:30 WIB, THR payments to civil servants in the central government had reached around Rp 3 trillion. The funds have been received by around 631,000 employees out of a total of about 2.2 million central government ASNs. “Today it has been disbursed; perhaps yesterday it hadn’t yet, some have already received it,” Purbaya said during an iftar gathering with reporters at the Ministry of Finance, on Friday (6 March 2026). Disbursement to retirees totals Rp 11.4 trillion. The funds have been received by 3,568,570 recipients, or around 93.55 percent of the total retirees. Meanwhile, THR disbursement for regional government ASN is still at an early stage. As of the same time, THR disbursement for regional government ASN had reached Rp 127.6 billion for 16,848 employees. The disbursement has so far been carried out by only three local governments out of 546 across Indonesia. Purbaya said the THR disbursement for state apparatus would be carried out in stages, following administrative readiness at each central and regional government agency. “So it is like that, but everything is ready; it just depends on how quickly they can disburse it,” he said. The regulation sets out the THR payment mechanism for ASN, Indonesian National Armed Forces soldiers, and members of the Indonesian National Police, or Polri. Purbaya also stipulates that THR payments and the 13th salary be paid directly to recipients. If direct payment cannot be made, the disbursement is routed through the expenditure treasurer. “The provisions regarding recipients, components, amounts, and timing of Hari Raya allowances and the 13th salary for 2026, sourced from the state budget as referred to in paragraph (1), shall be implemented in accordance with the Government Regulation on the provision of Hari Raya allowances and the 13th salary for 2026,” reads Article 2 paragraph (2) of PMK Number 13 of 2026.
