Bandung Regency Regent Dadang Supriatna has prohibited Civil Servants (ASN) within the Bandung Regency Government from using official vehicles for mudik (homecoming) during Eid al-Fitr 2026 (Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah). Dadang stated that government vehicles are exclusively designated for official governmental operations and must not be used for private purposes, including holiday travel.

“For mudik, civil servants must use their own private vehicles. ASN are not permitted to use official vehicles,” he said.

He noted that the prohibition was communicated during a cross-sector coordination meeting convened by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and several Regional Government Agencies (OPD) to finalise security preparations for this year’s Eid celebrations. According to him, the regional government in collaboration with security forces has prepared various strategies to manage the mudik exodus and return traffic to ensure safe and smooth travel.

“Coordination has been conducted involving elements of regional government, police, military, district heads, village chiefs, and relevant regional agencies,” he added.

During this year’s Eid security operations, the regent stated that combined forces have also established security posts and integrated posts at several points along mudik routes throughout Bandung Regency. On this occasion, Regent Dadang expressed hope that all parties can cooperate to ensure that security conditions and public services remain protected throughout the mudik and return travel period.

“Even though it is a public holiday, we as public servants must remain ready to provide services to the community,” said Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna.
