PT Pegadaian continues to strengthen its commitment to improving public financial literacy, particularly among Civil Servants (ASN). On Monday (8/6), at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT), Pegadaian held an educational event titled ‘Smart Financial Planning’.

The session, which took place following the morning assembly, was attended by approximately 100 to 150 civil servants. This initiative was launched in response to high interest from employees within the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions, many of whom are already Pegadaian customers and wish to deepen their understanding of safe investment instruments.

During the session, participants gained in-depth knowledge regarding the importance of both short-term and long-term financial planning. The primary focus of the material was directed towards gold investment, which is considered the most stable and relevant instrument for various demographics.

One product highlighted was the ‘Cicilan Emas Galeri24’. This service allows individuals to acquire physical gold gradually through an instalment scheme, making it highly suitable for those who wish to invest but have limited initial cash availability.

Beyond physical products, Pegadaised also introduced its digital transformation through the ‘Tring! by Pegadaian’ application. Civil servants received direct assistance in activating the application to facilitate practical and efficient access to investment services from anywhere.

Maryono, Regional Leader of PT Pegadaian Regional Office IX Jakarta 2, emphasised that this literacy programme is a concrete step by the company to build wise financial habits within the community.

“Gold is an investment instrument that is easy to understand and tends to have stable value. Through this activity, we want to provide access to safe, easy, and affordable investment for all layers of society,” said Maryono.

He also added that the presence of the Tring! application is expected to bridge the gap between customers and Pegadaian’s services. With better understanding, civil servants are expected to be able to make smarter financial decisions for a more prosperous and financially independent future.

Through this synergy, PT Pegadaian hopes that awareness regarding the importance of early investment will continue to increase, while simultaneously helping the public maintain the value of their assets amidst global economic dynamics.
