The 13th salary for civil servants (ASN) will be paid from June 2026. The 13th salary for civil servants is considered a form of recognition for their service to the nation and to boost public purchasing power, thereby contributing to national economic growth.

According to detikFinance, the disbursement of the 2026 13th salary for civil servants is regulated under Government Regulation (PP) No. 9 of 2026, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 3 March 2026.

Article 15(1) states: ‘The 13th salary as referred to in Article 2 shall be paid no earlier than June 2026,’ according to a report dated Sunday, 24 May 2026.

Article 15(2) states that if the 13th salary has not been paid as per paragraph 1, it shall be paid after June 2026. The same regulation also states that the 13th salary for civil servants consists of the base salary plus additional allowances such as family, food, position or general, and performance allowances.

Article 9(2) states that the 13th salary funded by the Regional Budget (APBD) for PNS and PPPK includes (a) base salary, (b) family allowance, (c) food allowance, (d) position or general allowance, and (e) additional income of up to one month’s pay for regional agencies providing extra income, taking into account fiscal capacity and legal regulations, based on rank, position, job level, or class.

Recipients of the 13th Salary

Article 2 states that the government provides the 13th salary to state officials, retirees, pension recipients, and allowance recipients.

Article 3(1) specifies that state officials include civil servants (PNS) and prospective civil servants, contractual civil servants (PPPK), TNI personnel, Polri members, and state officials.

The President and Vice President are also entitled to the 13th salary. Article 3(4) explains that state officials include the President and Vice President, as well as the Chairpersons and Members of the MPR, DPR, and DPD assemblies.

Additionally, the Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justices, Junior Chief Justices, and Supreme Court Justices, as well as the Chairpersons, Deputy Chairpersons, and Judges of all judicial bodies except Ad Hoc Judges, are included. The Chairpersons, Deputy Chairpersons, and Members of the Constitutional Court are also covered.

Furthermore, the Chairpersons, Deputy Chairpersons, and Members of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), the Judicial Commission, the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), as well as Ministers and officials of ministerial rank, are eligible.

Additionally, Indonesian diplomatic representatives abroad serving as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary are entitled, as are governors, vice governors, regents, mayors, and their deputies. Finally, other state officials determined by law to receive the 13th salary.
