Civil Registry Office Provides Mobile Services for Vulnerable Residents in Tarakan

The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, together with the Tarakan City Civil Registry Office in North Kalimantan, is providing mobile ‘jemput bola’ services for vulnerable residents. This policy is part of the Rebranding Dukcapil programme, which took place from 25 to 29 August 2026.

The Deputy Head of the Population Identity Team at the Directorate of Population Registration and Civil Registration of Ditjen Dukcapil, Sesario Fernandes, explained that the mobile service is a manifestation of the agency’s transformation. The goal is to provide services that are closer, easier, and more inclusive for the community.

“Population administration services must become increasingly accessible to the public. Vulnerable residents must also receive equal service and should not be hindered solely by limited access,” Sesario stated in a press release in Jakarta on Tuesday (1/9/2026).
