The civil society coalition Solidaritas untuk Andrie Yunus held an action to trace the points along Andrie Yunus’s journey when he was subjected to an acid terror attack, on Sunday (12/4). This action was organised as a commemoration of the 30th day since the terror incident against the KontraS activist. The action began in front of YLBHI, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Participants then walked to the petrol station in the Cikini area, continued towards Taman Dipenogoro, and ended at Jalan Talang, the location where Andrie was doused with acid. At the acid dousing site, several murals and posters were displayed in support of Andrie. Numerous posters contained demands, ranging from calls to form a Joint Fact-Finding Team (TGPF) to requests for a thorough investigation into the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus. “Prosecute the perpetrators in a general court,” read one of the posters carried. Action participants were also seen distributing flowers and tying pink ribbons at the location where Andrie was doused with acid. The action concluded with a collective prayer. Andrie Yunus became a victim of an acid dousing on Thursday night (12/3). The TNI’s Central Provost subsequently arrested four individuals suspected of carrying out the acid dousing against Andrie Yunus. The four are known to be members of the TNI’s Denma Bais from the Navy (AL) and Air Force (AU) branches. The TNI has completed its investigation into the four TNI soldiers suspected of the acid dousing against Andrie Yunus. The four TNI soldiers have been handed over to the Military Prosecutor (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta. TNI’s Head of Information, Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, in a statement received on Tuesday (7/4), said that the case files of the four suspects will be examined by the Military Prosecutor’s office. If deemed complete, the four suspects will be tried in the Military Court. “Subsequently, the completeness of the formal and material case files will be examined. If the files are declared complete, they will be forwarded to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta,” Aulia stated.
