City to hold flora and fauna expo

JAKARTA (JP): The City Park Agency will hold Flona 1995, a flora and fauna exhibition, at Lapangan Banteng, in front of the Borobudur Intercontinental hotel, Central Jakarta, from today to Aug. 20.

The annual exhibition, which was inaugurated 12 years ago, will feature various plants and animals. It will also hold various activities that might draw the attention of collectors and experts of plants, fauna and the environment.

Some experts will be at the exhibition to give guidance, directives and pointers on how to manage beautiful gardens. There will also be free courses on flower arrangements.

The Ragunan Zoo and the Indonesia in Miniature Park (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah) will be among some of the notable participants in the exhibition. They will display their collections of Indonesian flora and fauna.(yns)
