City revokes 35,004 old permits
JAKARTA (JP): The city administration announced yesterday it
was revoking 35,004 old licenses of sub-contractors for city
administration projects.
Harun Al Rasyid, chief of the sub-contractors assessment
committee said that after conducting reassessment tests, 26,730
companies are qualified to be sub-contractors for city projects
in 1995.
Harun said from the 26,730 sub-contractors, 9,887 are
construction companies, 1,396 are engineering consultant firms,
15,447 are merchants.
According to Harun, companies which qualified can take their
new licenses at the Central Jakarta Sports Center on Jl. Tanah
Abang I in Kebon Jahe area from Feb. 20 to March 2 at 9:00 a.m.-
14:30 p.m.
Harun said company managers who want to take the licenses have
to show the original copies of the old licenses, pay an
administration fee of Rp 15,000 (US$ 6.80) and carry two passport
size photographs.
He added that for managers who will be represented by their
subordinates they have to give their employees a letter of
authorization. (mas)
