City Government: Mataram Hajj Pilgrims to Enter Dormitory on 26 April
Mataram (ANTARA) - The Mataram City Government in West Nusa Tenggara Province has stated that prospective Hajj pilgrims from Mataram for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Hajj season will begin entering the Hajj dormitory on 26 April 2026. Assistant I to the Mataram City Regional Secretariat, H Lalu Martawang, in Mataram on Monday, said the pilgrims entering the dormitory on 26 April 2026 are those from Departure Group (Kloter) 5 of the Lombok Embarkation or the complete Mataram city kloter. “Kloter 5 pilgrims are scheduled to enter the dormitory on 26 April and will be flown to the Holy Land on 27 April 2026,” he said. According to him, for the 2026 Hajj season, Mataram has been allocated a quota of 854 prospective Hajj pilgrims, divided into three kloters: Kloter 5, 10, and 15. Kloter 5 and 10 are complete Mataram city kloters with 378-388 pilgrims each, while the remainder join mixed kloters with several districts/cities in West Nusa Tenggara. Before entering the Hajj dormitory, he continued, all pilgrims will participate in a send-off ceremony directly by Mataram Mayor H Mohan Roliskana together with Deputy Mayor TGH Mujiburrahman and their staff at the Mataram City Hall courtyard. “May the send-off tradition proceed solemnly and provide maximum comfort for Allah’s guests before heading to the Holy Land,” he said. Meanwhile, regarding the evaluation of the previous year’s Hajj implementation, Martawang said the organisers emphasised the importance of more solid coordination. Several evaluation points that are the main focus this year include improving communication flow and on-site implementation to make it more orderly than last year. Then, anticipating accommodation and group division issues so that pilgrims are not separated as previously complained about. In addition, the Mataram City Government ensures that all attributes, including vests and pilgrim uniforms, are ready and can be used right on the send-off day.
