City allots Rp 10b for final exams

JAKARTA: The Jakarta administration has disbursed Rp 10
billion (US$1.17 million) to subsidize final exams for 131,846
high school seniors.

"The students are mostly from special schools for disabled
people, vocational schools and Islamic schools," an official at
the city education agency, Satino, was quoted by Antara as saying
on Tuesday.

He said additional money from the central government would be
disbursed in May.

The high school seniors will take the final in May. -- JP
