Citra produces aromatic
JAKARTA (JP): PT Citra Pacific Aromatic Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Medco group, would set up an aromatic plant in Cilegon, West Java, the company said yesterday.
The development of the plant had been approved by the Investment Coordinating Board, Medco group's president Arifin Panigoro said yesterday in a statement.
The plant would be developed with the designed capacity of 125,000 tons of benzene a year, 72,000 tons of toluene a year and 29,000 tons of mixed xylene a year.
The plant would be built on a four-hectare land next to the olefin facilities of PT Chandra Asri.
The development was scheduled to start production by mid-1999 said Arifin.
Citra is 95 percent owned by Medco and PT Chandra Asri and 5 percent by German firm Krupp Uhde. (jsk)
