JAKARTA (JP): PT Citra Pacific Aromatic Indonesia, a
subsidiary of the Medco group, would set up an aromatic plant in
Cilegon, West Java, the company said yesterday.

The development of the plant had been approved by the
Investment Coordinating Board, Medco group's president Arifin

The plant would be developed with the designed capacity of
125,000 tons of benzene a year, 72,000 tons of toluene a year and
29,000 tons of mixed xylene a year.

The plant would be built on a four-hectare land next to the
olefin facilities of PT Chandra Asri.

The development was scheduled to start production by mid-1999
said Arifin.

Citra is 95 percent owned by Medco and PT Chandra Asri and 5
