The Citra Karya Raksitha innovation and creative ideas competition has begun in Gianyar Regency. This event serves as a promotional platform for the public and civil servants (PNS) to generate creative ideas in support of regional development.

“The Gianyar Regency Government, through the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (Brida), is holding the Citra Karya Raksitha Competition, which highlights innovations from Regional Device Organisations (OPD) and proposals from the public across Gianyar Regency,” said the Head of Brida Gianyar, I Ketut Sedana, in his statement on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

Sedana stated that this is the third time the competition has been held in Gianyar. A total of 20 participants are taking part, comprising 12 from the general public and eight from Gianyar Regency civil servants.

“A total of 20 participants presenting today have previously gone through a selection stage involving proposal submissions,” said Sedana.

The competition materials cover various fields divided into two categories. For the general public category, the topics include innovations in agriculture, maritime and fisheries, industry, small and medium industries (IKM), micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) and cooperatives, creative and digital economy, and tourism.

Meanwhile, for the civil servant category, the competition topics encompass innovations in government governance, public services, education, and other matters. All innovations produced by participants are expected to be implemented in a tangible and sustainable manner.

“This competition is not only a competitive event but also a forum to explore, develop, and promote various creative ideas capable of addressing regional development challenges,” he said.

Sedana added that participants with the best innovations will advance to the next level of competition. The winners will represent Gianyar Regency in a similar event at the Bali Provincial level.

“Innovations receiving the highest scores will represent Gianyar Regency at the provincial level,” he explained.

The judging is conducted by several academics in their fields, namely I Ketut Gading, I Gde Made Sadguna, I Gede Widarma Suharta, I Wayan Supartha, Made Suasta, and Ketut Witarka Yudiarta.

“The Gianyar Regency Government also hopes to create a culture of innovation within regional devices and the community, thereby strengthening the region’s competitiveness and supporting more effective, efficient, and sustainable development,” he said.
