Citizens Show Enthusiasm for Cheap Food Movement at Pakansari Stadium Bogor

The Bogor Police District held a Cheap Food Movement at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong District, Bogor, as part of efforts to maintain price stability ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

“The Synchronised Cheap Food Movement implemented by the Bogor Police District is aimed at maintaining price stability and availability of essential food items and controlling inflation in the Bogor Police District jurisdiction ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto, through Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Head AKP Anggi Eko Prasetyo, on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

He stated that the movement’s objective is to bring food access closer to the community, particularly at prices cheaper than market rates.

“The purpose and objective of the activity is to bring access to quality food closer to the community with prices that are relatively cheaper and more affordable compared to general market prices,” he said.

In addition, the movement also aims to distribute essential food items directly from producers, allowing farmers and other producers to find channels for distributing their harvest.

“Stabilising the distribution of basic food items from producers,” he added.

The food items sold include rice of various grades, cooking oil, sugar, wheat flour, chicken eggs, and chicken meat. The event drew large crowds of community members.
