Citibank signs labor deal
JAKARTA (JP): The management of Citibank and the bank's labor union signed yesterday a collective labor agreement.
The signing of the 10th collective labor agreement in the labor union's 19-year history was held at the bank's Landmark Tower B branch, Jl. Jend. Sudirman.
Sabar Sianturi, the director of labor standards of the manpower ministry, representatives of the Indonesian Employers' Association and representative of foreign bank's management in Jakarta witnessed the ceremony.
Edwin Gerungan, the vice president of Citibank N.A., said in his address that the bank needs to continuously improve the quality and skills of its staff to face the increasing challenges, competition and opportunities faced by the bank. (sur)
