Citatah Plans Entry into Ceramics and Porcelain Slab Trading
Marble and natural stone producer PT Citatah Tbk (stock code: CTTH) has officially announced plans to expand its business by adding new activities. The company is targeting the wholesale trade of construction materials to broaden its product portfolio and diversify its revenue streams.
This strategic move was formalised through an information disclosure to shareholders on 17 June 2026, in compliance with Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations concerning material transactions and changes in business activities.
Management explained that the expansion will focus on KBLI 46733, which covers the wholesale trade of construction materials made from clay, lime, cement, or glass. Through this new line, the company, which has over 50 years of experience, will trade products such as porcelain slabs, porcelain tiles, mosaics, and premium sintered stone.
To maintain working capital efficiency and minimise the risk of deadstock, Citatah is adopting an asset-light business model based on indent or back-to-back project orders. It will maximise the use of existing warehousing facilities and human resources without making material new investments in fixed assets.
The new business line is projected to contribute Rp49.68 billion in revenue in its first year of operation, with a target of surging to Rp86.23 billion by the fifth year. Correspondingly, earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) from this sector are forecast to rise from Rp5.56 billion in the first year to Rp15.12 billion in the fifth year. This performance is expected to complement the company’s historical business, which recorded net sales of Rp116.8 billion and a gross profit of Rp28.2 billion in 2025.
The company has identified potential supplier networks for these premium materials, both domestically and internationally, including sources in Southeast Asia, Italy, and Spain. To mitigate risks from foreign exchange volatility and global logistical disruptions, Citatah is preparing price adjustment clauses and a batch/lot lock system to ensure visual consistency of materials for customer projects.
Confirmation of this expansion plan will be determined at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for Friday, 19 June 2026.
