All night entertainment venues in Cirebon Regency are required to cease operations during Idul Adha. This is in respect of the religious holiday. The regulation is detailed in Regent of Cirebon’s Circular No. 500.13/19/Disbudpar dated 19 May 2026 concerning Tourism Business Operations During Idul Adha. The venues required to close include nightclubs, discos, pubs, karaoke bars, and health massage parlours. ‘These venues must temporarily halt operations from Tuesday, 26 May 2026 at 5:00 PM WIB until Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 5:00 PM WIB,’ said Cirebon Regency’s Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) Head, Fajar Sutrisno, yesterday. He added that all tourism businesses are prohibited from engaging in activities related to immorality, gambling, drunkenness, alcohol, narcotics, and other addictive substances. In addition to night entertainment venues, cinema operators are also instructed not to screen or display posters of films containing pornographic, immoral, or violent elements during the Idul Adha period. Tourism entrepreneurs are also required to grant religious holiday leave to workers in accordance with applicable regulations. Each business operator must display banners themed around Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah at their premises. He added that enforcement of these regulations will be monitored by the Tourism Business Implementation Oversight Team. Violators will be dealt with by local authorities responsible for public order and security. ‘Those who violate the circular’s provisions will face penalties in line with applicable regulations,’ he said.
