Cirebon (ANTARA) - The Cirebon City Government in West Java has introduced 11 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) at several local government assets to support the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem. Acting Head of the Transportation Department (Dishub) of Cirebon City, Ujianto, stated in Cirebon on Wednesday that the provision of these facilities is the result of a collaboration utilising local assets with third parties. β€œIn total, there are 11 points prepared on government-owned assets, and the installation process is currently underway,” he said. He explained that the installations are being carried out at several strategic locations, including the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) integrated with the Public Service Mall (MPP), the DPRD Secretariat, and the Cirebon City Hall area. Under this scheme, he said, third parties utilise local assets through a rental mechanism to provide electric vehicle charging facilities in office areas and public service centres. He conveyed that physically, SPKLU devices have been installed at several points, including charging units, cables, and special blue-coloured parking markings. Ujianto stated that the operational management of these facilities will later be carried out by the Regional Public Service Agency (BPKPD) together with third parties in accordance with the cooperation agreement.
