PURWAKARTA – The toll road operator has confirmed that there will be no further road repair work on the Cipularang toll road section during the extended Eid holiday period for the 2026 exodus (mudik).

This measure is being taken to ensure smooth traffic flow during the exodus period and to minimise potential disruptions on the main Jakarta–Bandung connecting route.

Agni Mayvinna, Senior Manager of Representative Office 3 at Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad, stated that all road maintenance work has been halted since 10 days before Eid.

“For repair or maintenance work, since 10 days before Eid we have already stopped all operations,” Agni told Kompas.com on Monday, 16 January 2026. “From 10 March onwards, we no longer have any work ongoing along the entire Cipularang toll road section and Padaleunyi route,” she added.

With all such work halted, it is hoped there will be no pothole patching or road repairs that could disrupt vehicle flow during the exodus period.

A dedicated team has been assigned to handle various potential problems that may arise in the field.

“However, should infrastructure problems occur, we have already prepared preservation or maintenance teams on standby. These teams cover road surface handling, drainage, and other infrastructure,” Agni said.

“Additionally, there are special teams to handle waterlogging and potential landslide risks, given that we are currently in the rainy season,” she added.

Through these various measures, the toll operator is ensuring that road conditions are ready for the exodus travellers heading to West Java and surrounding regions.

Agni emphasised that the operator has confirmed that the toll road section is in good condition to handle the surge in vehicles during the Eid exodus period.

“Indeed, we have confirmed that our toll road section is ready for travellers who will use the Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll routes.”
