CIPHER 2026 Explores the Worlds of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence

The rapid development of digital technology brings both opportunities and new challenges for society. Amidst the massive utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) and the complexity of digital security threats, technological understanding is no longer limited to mere usage, but also encompasses how it works, responsible usage, and maintaining security within the digital ecosystem.

Responding to this need, the School of Computer Science at Binus University presents CIPHER (Cybersecurity and Intelligent Systems for Protection, Hacking, Engineering, and Research) 2026. This community-based technology festival brings together the worlds of cybersecurity and AI within a single open learning ecosystem.

“Through CIPHER, we want to demonstrate that computer science is not just about creating technology, but also about understanding it critically to provide solutions. Students need to learn through real and experimental experiences that are relevant to the future,” said Derwin Suhartono, Dean of the School of Computer Science at Binus University.
