Cipayung Social Welfare Home reveals condition of baby found in South Jakarta
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Balita (PSAA) Tunas Bangsa in Cipayung, East Jakarta, has disclosed the condition of Ameera Ramadhani, the baby found in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (3/3). “Thank God, when she arrived here, Ameera’s condition is healthy and well,” said PSAA Tunas Bangsa head Rida Mufrida in Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Friday. The baby girl was found previously in a nasi uduk cart outside a resident’s house on Jalan Pejaten Raya, RT 01/02, Pasar Minggu. Rida said Ameera has been healthy since arriving at the shelter on Thursday (5/3), escorted by officers from the South Jakarta Social Service Office and the Pasar Minggu Sub-district Public Order Agency (Satpol PP Sosial Kecamatan Pasar Minggu). According to Rida, the baby had previously been referred from the Panti Sosial Bina Insan Bangun Daya (PSBI BD) 1 before ultimately being placed at PSAA Tunas Bangsa for care. Nevertheless, the shelter continues to undertake health observations to ensure the baby’s condition is truly stable. PSAA Tunas Bangsa cooperates with the Cipayung Community Health Clinic (Puskesmas Kecamatan Cipayung) for health checks of the children at the shelter. “Medically, our shelter does work with the Cipayung Community Health Clinic for health examinations of the children at PSAA Tunas Bangsa,” Rida explained. “Today, Ameera is planned to be taken to the Cipayung Community Health Clinic for further health checks,” Rida stated. She also assured that the shelter provides proper care, health monitoring, and suitable fostering during Ameera’s stay at PSAA Tunas Bangsa, Cipayung. “Health observations will continue to ensure the baby’s growth and development proceeds well,” she added. Earlier, a live two-day-old baby girl was found in a nasi uduk cart in front of a resident’s house on Jalan Pejaten Raya, RT 01/02, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (3/3). Pasar Minggu Police Chief Kompol Anggiat Sinambela said the baby was found at 17:30 local time and reported to police at 17:43. The baby was found wearing blue teddy bear-patterned clothing and covered by a white blanket. In the bag were several other items, including infant formula, wet wipes, gloves, and a slip of paper with handwriting. The baby girl is believed to be two days old, based on the note written by a man named Zidan. He is suspected of intentionally abandoning the baby at the scene. Witnesses then decided to report the discovery of the living baby to the neighbourhood association (RT) and the police. Information about the discovery has also been reported to the Pasar Minggu Police through the station’s WhatsApp group.
