Cipayung Betawi Lebaran Boosts MSME Turnover to Rp57.3 Million
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The bazaar event as part of the Betawi Lebaran celebration in the Agro Wisata Cilangkap area, Cipayung Subdistrict, East Jakarta, successfully boosted the turnover of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to Rp57.3 million. “Over the two days of implementation on 18-19 April 2026, total sales from the MSME participants reached Rp57.3 million,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Industrial, Trade, Cooperatives, Small, and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM), Andi Ahmad Refi, in Jakarta on Monday. This achievement came from 36 Jakpreneurs who participated in the annual bazaar. Refi noted that the culinary sector contributed the largest turnover due to high visitor interest. “The highest sales came from the culinary sector, which was quite popular among visitors to the Cipayung Betawi Lebaran,” he stated. According to Refi, the bazaar featured a variety of products, from typical foods, handicrafts, accessories, to clothing. This diversity of products became a special attraction for the public attending the Betawi Lebaran event. He explained that the business operator with the highest turnover was achieved by Deanita Novianti through her Buna Rara business product. In two days of implementation, the business recorded sales of up to Rp3.6 million. Furthermore, Refi elaborated that the bazaar participants were Jakpreneurs under cross-sectoral guidance in the Cipayung Subdistrict area. “This activity serves as an effective medium to introduce MSME products to the public while encouraging increased economic activity for business operators,” Refi explained. Refi hopes that similar activities can continue to be held sustainably, both during the Betawi Lebaran momentum and other events. Thus, MSME products will become more widely known and able to drive the wheels of the community’s economy. Public enthusiasm for the Cipayung Betawi Lebaran was also evident from the large number of visitors present. In addition to the MSME bazaar, the event was enlivened by various traditional Betawi arts performances, such as gambang kromong and lenong. The series of activities began with the palang pintu procession and the Nyorog tradition, which are characteristic of Betawi culture. Visitors were also treated to music entertainment from several groups, including a guest star performance by Erie Suzan. Not only serving as an entertainment venue, the Cipayung Betawi Lebaran also plays an important role in efforts to preserve local culture while strengthening community ties. This activity is expected to continue as a space for collaboration between business operators, government, and the public in developing the economic and cultural potential of Betawi in East Jakarta.
