Cipancuh Reservoir in Indramayu Runs Dry
The Cipancuh Reservoir in Haurgeulis, Indramayu, West Java, has run dry, leaving its bed exposed. The 700-hectare reservoir, which serves as a primary irrigation source for agricultural lands in the region, has been experiencing drought for the past two months due to the dry season.
This water shortage is impacting the irrigation needs of paddy fields across five districts surrounding the reservoir. As the water levels recede, local residents have been seen using the exposed reservoir bed for activities such as grazing goats.
