Cipali Toll Road Gradually Clears After Implementation of One-Way Return Flow
The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, stated that traffic on the Cipali Toll Road is now running smoothly after the implementation of a one-way traffic engineering measure. “The current traffic conditions on Cipali are very smooth because we have opened the one-way system in the precise first and second stages, and it is currently well managed,” he said in Bekasi, West Java, on Friday (27). For information, on this Friday, the first stage of the Presisi one-way is applied from KM 132 of the Cipali Toll to KM 70 of the Cikampek Main Toll, while the second stage of the Presisi one-way is implemented from KM 263 of the Pejagan Toll to KM 70. Agus said that his side will evaluate whether the one-way will continue until tomorrow. “Tomorrow, we will evaluate again whether the return flow one-way will be extended or possibly pulled back to KM 414. Of course, based on analysis from traffic counting that we always coordinate with the Director of Jasa Marga,” he said. Furthermore, the two-star police general stated that the National Police Traffic Corps is also implementing contraflow traffic engineering from KM 70 to KM 55 due to an increase in traffic flow. “Usually, in the evening, departures from Trans Java towards Jakarta peak in the afternoon until night,” he said. If two-lane contraflow is needed later, he assured that coordination will first be carried out with Jasa Marga.
