Cipali Toll Managers Remain on Full Alert for Eid Return Peak
Subang (ANTARA) - The operator of the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road, Astra Tol Cipali, remains on full alert to face the peak of the Eid return traffic, predicted to occur on Saturday to Sunday (29/3).
Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, in his statement in Subang, West Java, on Saturday, said that for the time being, traffic flow tends to be smooth.
Throughout Saturday morning to afternoon, or during the period from 00.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB, around 42,000 vehicles were recorded passing through the Cipali toll road section towards Jakarta.
He stated that although the one-way traffic flow on the Cipali toll road is currently tending to be smooth, Astra Tol Cipali remains in full alert position.
It was mentioned that the entire traffic service fleet, consisting of 19 tow trucks, 10 patrol units, and security personnel, remains on standby at various points.
Optimisation of facilities is also carried out at eight active rest areas, including the functional Rest Area at KM 77, in the form of providing 1,024 free toilets and adding field officers.
These steps are taken as a form of preparedness and anticipation against the potential wave of return traffic that is predicted to increase again at the end of this weekend.
To maintain safety together, he said, road users are urged not to change lanes or use U-turns during the ongoing one-way traffic engineering.
If needing to change lanes, please exit through the nearest toll gate and continue the journey by re-entering the desired lane without additional charges.
Astra Tol Cipali also reminds all road users to ensure the condition of their vehicles and the physical state of the drivers are in prime condition.
