JAKARTA – PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (Cinema XXI) recorded revenue of Rp1.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026. This figure represents an 18.2% growth compared to the same period in the previous year, which stood at Rp929.2 billion. The growth was supported by the performance across all business lines. Cinema ticket sales remained the primary contributor at 60.6%, followed by the food and beverage (F&B) segment at 32.6%, as well as other revenue from advertising and digital platforms. Cinema XXI’s President Director, Suryo Suherman, stated that this achievement reflects the company’s resilience amid industry dynamics. In detail, revenue from ticket sales rose 14.3% to Rp665.3 billion, up from Rp582.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, F&B revenue increased 15.9% to Rp357.6 billion, with average spend per viewer (SPH) remaining stable. On the profitability front, the company’s EBITDA jumped 81.2% to Rp226.9 billion, from Rp125.2 billion in the same period last year. This increase indicates improving operational efficiency alongside business expansion. From a balance sheet perspective, the company’s financial position remains strong. Total assets stood at Rp6.72 trillion as of 31 March 2026, with cash and cash equivalents at Rp1.75 trillion and total equity at Rp4.34 trillion. Cash flow performance also showed improvement. Operating cash flow rose significantly to Rp106.6 billion, from Rp28.1 billion in the corresponding period the previous year. This reflects the quality of revenue and better working capital management. Business growth was also supported by the strengthening F&B segment. The company is committed to enhancing product and service standards, including through new menu developments and improved service speed across its cinema network. Audience enthusiasm for Indonesian films has increased, as evidenced by seven domestic titles each achieving over one million viewers. This is an improvement from three titles in the same period last year. “We welcome the positive trend in the local film industry that continues to strengthen. Audience trust in Indonesian filmmakers is the energy that drives us to continue delivering the best viewing experience,” said Suryo. On the other hand, the company has also implemented the decisions of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on 6 April 2026. “Our solid performance achievement forms the foundation for us to continue providing real added value, not only through business growth but also through consistent returns for investors,” Suryo added.
