Cinema XXI remains open. PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (Cinema XXI/CNMA), the largest cinema chain operator in Indonesia, reported revenues of Rp5.9 trillion for the year, up 2.6 percent from Rp5.7 trillion in 2024. Net profit after tax in 2025 stood at Rp776.2 billion, while EBITDA amounted to Rp1.8 trillion. In the face of economic and industry dynamics, Cinema XXI maintained its business performance and continued to deliver the best cinema experience for film enthusiasts across Indonesia.

“Trust and collaboration among all stakeholders are the key drivers of the company’s performance,” said Cinema XXI Chief Executive Officer Suryo Suherman. He added that the year’s performance was supported by ticket sales of Rp3.6 trillion, food and beverage sales of Rp2 trillion, and other income of Rp298 billion from advertising, digital platforms, and events.

Cinema XXI recorded 85 million cinemagoers in 2025, with the Average Ticket Price (ATP) rising 3 percent to Rp46,057, driven by higher occupancy in premium studios such as The Premiere and IMAX.

Cinema XXI continues to strengthen its focus on the food and beverage (F&B) segment as part of its strategy to improve the customer experience. In 2025, the internal team developed more than 30 new menu items for XXI Café and The Premiere Café, while keeping in step with market trends and preferences. The company also implemented a bundling strategy combining tickets and F&B via the m.tix app to optimise the sales strategy and boost transaction value per customer.

Last year, average spend on food and beverages per head rose by 5.9 percent to Rp25,814, reflecting the appeal of the products and their growing contribution to the company’s performance.

Cinema XXI continued its expansion by inaugurating 12 new cinemas and adding 43 screens in the year. The expansion included the company’s first entry into several new regions, such as Indramayu, Pematangsiantar, Magelang, Tuban, and Kota Metro (Lampung).

As of 31 December 2025, Cinema XXI operated 1,388 screens across 267 cinemas in 56 cities and 30 regencies nationwide. Suryo explained that the company views the outlook for the entertainment sector, particularly Indonesian cinema, as continuing to grow alongside improvements in content quality and diversity.
