Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk, or Cinema XXI (stock code: CNMA), recorded net profit of Rp776.2 billion throughout 2025.

The company reported revenue of Rp5.9 trillion in 2025, growing 2.6% compared to Rp5.7 trillion in 2024. The company’s EBITDA reached Rp1.8 trillion.

“Amid economic and industry dynamics, Cinema XXI maintains business performance and continually provides the best cinematic experience for film enthusiasts throughout Indonesia. Trust and collaboration from all stakeholders serve as the primary drivers of the company’s performance,” said Cinema XXI Chief Executive Officer Suryo Suherman in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.

He outlined that 2025 performance was driven by ticket sales revenue of Rp3.6 trillion, food and beverage (F&B) sales of Rp2 trillion, and other revenue of Rp298 billion derived from advertising, digital platforms, and event hosting.

Throughout 2025, Cinema XXI recorded 85 million viewers with average ticket price (ATP) growth of 3% to Rp46,057.

This increase was driven by increased occupancy in premium studios such as The Premiere and IMAX.

The company also strengthened F&B segment development as part of its customer experience enhancement strategy.

Throughout 2025, Cinema XXI’s internal team developed more than 30 new menu items at XXI Café and The Premiere Café, adapting to market trends and preferences.

Additionally, the company implemented a ticket and F&B bundling strategy through its m.tix application as part of sales strategy optimisation to increase transaction value per customer.

In 2025, average food and beverage spending per viewer (spend per head) increased 5.9% to Rp25,814.

This reflects increasing product appeal and strengthening contribution to company performance.

On the expansion front, Cinema XXI inaugurated 12 new cinemas and added 43 screens throughout 2025. The expansion includes inaugural presence in several new regions, such as Indramayu, Pematangsiantar, Magelang, Tuban, and Metro.

As at 31 December 2025, Cinema XXI operated 1,388 screens across 267 cinemas spread across 56 cities and 30 regencies throughout Indonesia.

“The network expansion we conducted throughout 2025 is part of a long-term strategy to broaden access to quality entertainment across various regions of Indonesia. Going forward, we will continue to accelerate addition of new screens selectively whilst maintaining service quality,” said Suryo.

Suryo added that the company views prospects for the entertainment industry, particularly national cinema, will continue growing with increasing quality and content diversity.

In 2025, there were more than 20 national and international films, each watched by more than one million viewers. This achievement was strengthened by the success of two national films that surpassed 10 million viewers: Jumbo and Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku!.

“Observing viewer enthusiasm and continuously developing content quality, we are optimistic that Indonesia’s film industry will continue growing. Cinema XXI is ready to strengthen its role through measured expansion and enhanced viewing experience standards, whilst promoting solid collaboration so that Indonesia’s film industry becomes increasingly competitive and sustainable,” said Suryo.
